Rowing Across The Atlantic December 2024

Worlds Toughest Row

About

At the end of 2024 the Atlantic Sea Donkeys will compete in the World's Toughest Row. We will row around 3000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua in the Caribbean. Rowing 2 hours on 2 hours off without stopping, the crossing will take us somewhere between 30 and 50 days. This is a self supported trip with no islands, supply boat, or rest!

The Cause

As passionate supporters of effective giving our goal is to raise money for GiveDirectly. GiveDirectly is a nonprofit that lets donors send money directly to the world's poorest. We believe people living in poverty deserve the dignity to choose for themselves how best to improve their lives — cash enables that choice. In the last decade, GiveDirectly has delivered $700M+ in cash directly into the hands of over 1.5 million people living in poverty across fourteen countries.

Supporting Us

Funding is a big challenge and your support will be instrumental in helping us make the crossing and raise money for GiveDirectly. Our goal is to cover enough costs that we can donate all proceeds from selling the boat to GiveDirectly. Whether a personal donation, sponsor a mile, or a corporate sponsorship package, every contribution is extremely valuable in helping us complete this challenge and make as big of a difference as we can! Support us here.
